Why am I always instructed by my trainer for basic engineering exercises? Why should my practice always implement the white belt technique? Why should I practice this technique again? I already know how to implement it, but why do not I learn other techniques after this? Though the coach already knows that I have been able to implement the basic techniques that have been given. "Basic exercise again?"
Those words are often perceived by karateka each time the exercise. In reality, karateka can already benefit from the techniques they have learned but most of the techniques they master have not been good and correct, so trainers more often train basic techniques in karate.
Just like in building a house. Once the house is completed where the walls and roofs have been designed in such a way, but in its construction does not have a strong foundation and true. When an earthquake or whirlwind comes, the wall and roof of the house will collapse, so the owner of the house will move or have to build their house again.
Such a thing is the same as someone who studies karate. Where they do not understand and carry out basic techniques of karate properly and correctly continuously, then by the time they have reached higher levels (kyu) they are usually lazy to practice karate and even leave it (or learn other martial arts). (= THOUSANDS COMING TO DOJO ONLY NUMBERS WHICH STAY).
It must be understood in karate, that starting from the white belt to the brown belt is the introductory period of technical tekekarate (and always training the technique already given); not a goal to get a higher level. Then when it has reached the black belt (starting from DAN I etc.) is the period of understanding and deepening of the received karate material.
So, if someone who studies karate then they should always train basic techniques (kihon) continuously until they will feel the basic technique is good and right. If the basic techniques have been mastered then when they reach higher levels in karate then they will not be hard to implement / learn it. So is the case for word and kumite implementation. So in the end they will love karate until the age of twilight
